{"id":5216,"date":"2022-07-27T14:18:32","date_gmt":"2022-07-27T06:18:32","guid":{"rendered":"\/?page_id=5216"},"modified":"2024-01-17T10:51:00","modified_gmt":"2024-01-17T02:51:00","slug":"service-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/aas.ifdemo.com\/membership-benefits\/service-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Service Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"[vc_section full_width=&#8221;stretch_row_content&#8221; el_id=&#8221;tandc-top-sec&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1654494106390{padding-top: 65px !important;padding-bottom: 65px !important;background-color: #f2f2f2 !important;}&#8221;][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1673640194409{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}&#8221;]\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Last modified: 14 January 2023<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">Service Policy<\/h1>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][\/vc_section][vc_section el_id=&#8221;tandc-content&#8221;][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<b>AA Service Policy<\/b><\/p>\n<p>24-hour Free Roadside Assistance Services (RAS) are rendered to Singapore-registered private passenger car with valid road tax or day license that cannot be driven due to mechanical or electrical failures in Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>RAS is provided to AA Members under the membership entitlement and are governed by AA service policy and terms and conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aas.ifdemo.com\/membership\/terms-and-conditions.html\">here<\/a>\u00a0for the various roadside assistance service entitlement for each category.<\/p>\n<p>AA reserves the right to amend the service policy and terms and conditions without prior notice.<\/p>\n<p>Services provided cover the following:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li>Restarting<\/li>\n<li>Standard towing, where standard towing refers to the use of the tow-truck\u2019s recovery fork to lift the two front wheels of the passenger car off the ground.<\/li>\n<li>Changing of flat tyres (replacement with member\u2019s spare tyre)<\/li>\n<li>Petrol top-up (Cost of petrol not included)<\/li>\n<li>Battery replacement (Cost of battery not included)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"first\">In the event that the car cannot be restarted at breakdown location, it will be towed to a workshop of the member\u2019s choice. Depending on the membership category, fees may be waived under the membership\u2019s entitlement.<\/li>\n<li>Members are advised to remove all their valuables in their vehicle before the tow.<\/li>\n<li>Car owners will be asked to assist to start the engine of their vehicles for jump-start and battery replacement cases.<\/li>\n<li>For breakdowns on expressways, including slip roads, straight tow will be provided for safety reasons irrespective of the cause of breakdown.<\/li>\n<li>Members are entitled to waiver of RAS fees for Singapore-registered passenger cars with valid road tax. Taxis, motorcycles, light goods (G-plate) and rented vehicles are not entitled to roadside assistance services.<\/li>\n<li class=\"last\">AA is under no obligation to replace or provide any part(s) to the broken-down vehicle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>VERIFICATION OF MEMBERSHIP<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"first\">Members are required to be\u00a0<b>present at the breakdown location<\/b>\u00a0for service to be rendered.<\/li>\n<li>Members must present their valid AA Membership e-card to the recovery crew for verification upon their arrival.<\/li>\n<li>Members may also be required to produce their Singapore Driving Licence or NRIC for additional verification if needed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"last\">Download the AA Singapore app to access your e-card. Click here for the User Guide and FAQ.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"app-block\">\n<div id=\"app-col\"><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.aas.aaapp\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Object.png\" alt=\"google download\" width=\"173\" height=\"40\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 173px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 173\/40;\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Object.png\" alt=\"google download\" width=\"173\" height=\"40\" \/><\/noscript><\/a><\/div>\n<div id=\"app-col\"><a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/sg\/app\/aa-roadside-assistance\/id1210678062?mt=8\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/app-store.png\" alt=\"Apple Download\" width=\"173\" height=\"40\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 173px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 173\/40;\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/app-store.png\" alt=\"Apple Download\" width=\"173\" height=\"40\" \/><\/noscript><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We seek the understanding of Members to\u00a0ensure\u00a0that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"first\">The breakdown vehicle is not obstructing traffic and the crew is not subjected to potential risks in the course of duty.<\/li>\n<li>The recovery crew should be allowed to perform their duties without hindrance.<\/li>\n<li class=\"last\">There is no violation of any traffic rules or regulations.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>FEES THAT ARE PAYABLE BY MEMBERS<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"first\">In the event that repair parts, battery replacement and\/or petrol top-up is required to restart the car, any cost incurred will be borne by the members.<\/li>\n<li>Members are required to bear any fees in the course of attending to their cars, ie. car park fees, ERP charges, entry fees (eg: entry to Sentosa) etc.<\/li>\n<li>Exceeding the Member\u2019s free RAS entitlement, an attendance fee of $54.50 will apply.<\/li>\n<li class=\"last\">Add-on fees are applicable for all towing in covered car parks, even if the tow is rendered within the Member\u2019s free RAS entitlement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>TOWING CHARGES THAT ARE PAYABLE BY MEMBERS<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"first\">Vehicles that cannot be driven due to an accident, eg: vehicle mounted on curb, knocked into poles, caught fire and vehicles with damaged windscreen \/ windows.<\/li>\n<li>If it is the Call Agent\u2019s opinion that the vehicle can be resolved by an AA mechanic but member insists on a straight tow (to workshop).<\/li>\n<li>Straight tows without an AA mechanics\u2019 verification.<\/li>\n<li>Towing of vehicles to scrap yard.<\/li>\n<li>Vintage cars without valid day coupon.<\/li>\n<li class=\"last\">Non Singapore-registered car.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Add-on fees of $65.40 are chargeable for non-standard tow<\/b>\u00a0which involves the use of a tow dolly or flatbed.
